R.N. to B.S. Information Session

Event, Admissions Event, Information Session

Registered Nurses: Got your B.S.? If not, you’re going to need one!

The Institute of Medicine, in its landmark report (2010) The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health, which was made possible by the support of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, recommends increasing the proportion of nurses with a baccalaureate degree to 80% by 2020.

At Adelphi’s Manhattan Center, if you are already an RN, you can earn your B.S. in an intimate, flexible environment with small classes and great professors—attending classes one day a week!

RN to BS classes are offered one day a week (on Mondays) and online to meet the needs of our working professionals. A GPA of 3.0 is highly recommended and a valid New York State RN license is required for admission. Adelphi will accept up to 64 credits from an Associate Degree program and up to 90 credits from a Bachelor’s Degree program to fulfill our 124-credit curriculum.  Students are accepted on a rolling admissions basis.

Information Sessions at the Manhattan Center are small group settings where you can obtain detailed information about the R.N. to B.S. program including:

  • what the Adelphi University Nursing program at the Manhattan Center can offer you, e.g.; individual tutoring, on-site student services, computer center and library
  • the Adelphi application/admissions process
  • the B.S. in nursing academic curriculum

These sessions are an opportunity to have all your individual questions answered.  The R.N. to B.S. Information Session is for registered nurses only.
